Christmas and New Year services - South East Queensland

Over the Christmas and New Year period, services across South East Queensland will run differently due to public holidays and track closures. 

All timetables have been updated in the journey planner, so please plan your journey and check for service updates before you travel.

Bus​​​​​​

Buses will run to a public holiday timetable, with the following exceptions:

Train

Trains will run to a public holiday timetable.

Track closures

​​​​​​All lines will be affected by the December and January extended track closures. 

Timetabled railbuses will replace trains between Roma Street, Northgate and Ferny Grove, as well as between Boggo Road and Cannon Hill. 

Ferry

The CityCat will run to a special Christmas timetable.

The CityHopper, Cross River Ferries and Southern Moreton Bay Island Ferries will run to a Sunday/public holiday timetable.

Tram

Tram services will run to a weekday timetable.

Bus

Buses will run to a Sunday/public holiday timetable, with the following exceptions:
