From Friday 1 October until late April, the escalators that connect Central station to the Anzac Square Arcade concourse will be closed for renovations.

During this closure, the alternative entry and exit points for the closed escalators will be as follows.
About the project
These works are part of Queensland Rail's Central station upgrade project.
The old escalators are being completely removed and will be replaced with brand new ones.
Once installed, the new escalators will increase safety and reliability for all station users.
The area surrounding the escalators will also be upgraded.
