Getting there

Use the journey planner to find out which scheduled bus and train services travel to and from the race precinct.

Check for current and upcoming service changes; including the following road and route closures:

• Gold Coast Marathon temporary stop closures - Saturday 6 July
• Gold Coast Marathon temporary stop closures - Sunday 7 July

On Sunday morning trams will be disrupted between 5:45am and 8:30am due to road closures for the event.

The event is close to Southport tram and bus station, approximately 300m away.

Extra services

Saturday 6 July 

Additional trams will run every 6.5 minutes between 4am and 6am before the race, and then every 7.5 minutes between 6am and 10am.

Sunday 7 July 

Additional trams will run every 6.5 minutes between 4am and 6am before the race, and then every 7.5 minutes from 8am until 12:30pm.

Ticket and fare information

Registered participants for the marathon can travel for free on board G:link tram service between 4am and 3pm on race day. Simply show you race number to travel.
