In January 2024 six Queensland Rail stations closed temporarily to begin major accessibility upgrades. 

Key features of these upgrades include new lifts, footbridges, raised platforms, upgraded security, and much more. 

All stations are now complete, with Banyo, Burpengary, Buranda, Bundamba, Lindum and Morningside now open to customers.
