Lindum station is reopening on Monday 23 December!

Replan your travel to make the most of your new station.

From Monday 22 January until Sunday 22 December, Lindum station will close for a major station accessibility upgrade.

This means Cleveland line services will not stop at Lindum for the duration of the works. 

While the station is closed, alternative transport options will be available; including the route 229 - Wynnum North to Lindum service.

Key upgrade features

  • Upgraded hearing augmentation loops and tactile ground surface indicators

Alternative travel options

The new route 229 service will run between Wynnum North station and Lindum station, with an additional stop at Iona College. 

This is a temporary service will finish after the last service on Sunday 22 December.

Timetables

Route 229 will run every 10-15 minutes in peak hour (7am to 9am, and 3pm to 4pm on weekdays). Plus additional services to support school start and finish times. 

Outside of peak hour, the service frequency will match the Cleveland line schedule at Wynnum North station.

From Monday 26 February a new school service route 841 will begin for Iona College students. This service will replace the "special" route 229 trips. 

Services will run between Wynnum North station and Iona College in the mornings and afternoon on school days. 

Morning services

Afternoon services

After school 841 services depart from a different stop than the regular route 229 services. 

These trips leave from North Road at Iona College stop on the western side of North Road.

  • 3:12pm
  • 3:17pm
  • 3:22pm

These two existing services start at Wynnum Plaza and travel in opposite directions around Wynnum and Manly.

They stop close to Lindum, Wynnum North, Wynnum, Wynnum CentralManly and Lota stations. 

If you're travelling to another location in the Wynnum/Manly area, these routes may be faster than catching route 229 to Wynnum North and transferring to the train there.

Route 223 runs Monday to Saturday.

Route 224 runs 7 days a week, including public holidays. 

If you normally park at Lindum station, consider using Wynnum Central or Wynnum North stations instead. 

Both station are serviced by Cleveland line services.

Travelling with a bike? Unfortunately bikes and personal mobility devices are not allowed onboard bus services, including the 229.
