Alternative travel options

The new route 229 service will run between Wynnum North station and Lindum station, with an additional stop at Iona College.

This is a temporary service running for the duration of the Lindum station closure.

Route 229 will run every 10-15 minutes in peak hour (7am to 9am, and 3pm to 4pm on weekdays). Plus additional services to support school start and finish times.

Outside of peak hour, the service frequency will match the Cleveland line schedule at Wynnum North station.

From Monday 26 February a new school service route 841 will begin for Iona College students. This service will replace the "special" route 229 trips.

Afternoon services

After school 841 services depart from a different stop than the regular route 229 services.

These trips leave from North Road at Iona College stop on the western side of North Road.

  • 3:02pm
  • 3:04pm
  • 3:06pm
  • 3:08pm
  • 3:10pm

These two existing services start at Wynnum Plaza and travel in opposite directions around Wynnum and Manly.

They stop close to Lindum, Wynnum North, Wynnum, Wynnum CentralManly and Lota stations.

If you're travelling to another location in the Wynnum/Manly area, these routes may be faster than catching route 229 to Wynnum North and transferring to the train there.

Route 223 runs Monday to Saturday.

Route 224 runs 7 days a week, including public holidays.

If you normally park at Lindum station, consider using Wynnum Central or Wynnum North stations instead.

Both station are serviced by Cleveland line services.

Travelling with a bike? Unfortunately bikes and personal mobility devices are not allowed onboard bus services, including the 229.
