All fares on Translink services are now 50 cents per journey, regardless of how far you travel on the network or how you choose to pay – whether it’s by go card, contactless debit or credit card, or paper ticket.

Non-Translink Regional Ferry services
Concession fares for job seekers are available on applicable regional ferry services where fares are set by the operator.
These services include SeaLink Palm Island, SeaLink Magnetic Island, Stradbroke Ferries, Stradbroke Flyer and Island Taxi and Charter, and Peddells Thursday Island Tours.
To receive concession fares, you will need to apply online for a Regional Public Transport concession card.
Important information
- This card must be shown to the operator or an authorised person when buying a ticket or if requested during your journey.
- You will need to provide your full Centrelink Customer Reference Number (CRN) issued by Services Australia when you apply. Your application will then be verified against Services Australia (Centrelink) records.
- If Services Australia determine you are eligible, they will send you a Regional Public Transport concession card in the mail. Your card can take up to 14 business days to arrive from the time you apply.
- If you are not eligible you will be notified by mail. If you believe there has been an error in determining your eligibility, please contact Services Australia.
