Fares have been reduced across public transport to a 50 cent flat rate trial across all zones and modes on the Translink network across Queensland.
This includes all regional urban buses, and bus, train, ferry, tram and on demand services in South East Queensland.
Airtrain fares have been reduced, with tickets starting from $10.95 during this time.
Services
The 50 cent flat fare applies to all:
- Queensland Rail City Train services
- buses (excluding dedicated school buses)
- Brisbane City ferries and Southern Moreton Bay Island Ferry
- trams
- on demand services.
Airtrain
Airtrain fares have been reduced from $21.90 to $10.95 when travelling from all Brisbane City stations to the Brisbane Domestic and Brisbane International stations during this time.
Brisbane City stations include Eagle Junction, Wooloowin, Albion, Bowen Hills, Fortitude Valley, Central, Roma Street, and South Brisbane.

Concessions and discounts
Off-peak travel discount
The 20% discount on off-peak travel does not apply during this time. All travel across zones and times of day will be a flat rate of 50 cents.

The 50% concession fares does not apply during this time. Fares will be a flat 50 cent rate for everyone using public transport.
Seniors
If you're a Senior Concession Card holder, then you are able to continue to travel free on Brisbane City Council buses and in the Gold Coast City Council areas during off-peak travel times.
Children
- Children aged five to 14 can still travel free on weekends using their orange child go card.
- Children aged four years old and under can still travel for free at all times.
Frequent journey discounts
The current frequency based discounts such as 8 journeys and half price and One, Two, Free doesn't apply during this time.
If you're travelling by urban bus in regional Queensland then you can pay by cash onboard or via any of the existing ticketing options.

- Gympie
- Innisfail
- Kilcoy

- Warwick
- Whitsundays
Ticketing options
You will be able to pay in cash onboard the bus as you do now.
Concessions
The 50% concession fares will not apply during this time. Fares will be a flat 50 cent rate for everyone using public transport.
