Works to connect the existing tram network and Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 3 (GCLR3) track extension started on Sunday 3 March at Broadbeach South station, with the installation of water barricades, fencing and other initial construction activities.

At this stage there are no changes to tram times or local bus services, but there are minor access changes at the station and local surrounds.

Pedestrian crossing changes

From Monday 8 April, the southern pedestrian crossing at Broadbeach South station will be closed, and you'll need to use the new temporary northern crossing (just north of where trams stop - heading toward Hooker Boulevard). Please ensure you give way to departing and arriving trams.

Alternatively, the existing signalised pedestrian crossing is available closer to Hooker Boulevard.

Platform changes

Until further notice you'll need to use platform 2 (located nearest to the Gold Coast Highway) to get on and off your tram as the other platform is temporarily unavailable.

Please check wayfinding signs and messages at the station and we'll continue to update you as works progress.
