December and January extended track closures - impacts all lines

From Saturday 20 December to Sunday 26 January, there’ll be major track closures and travel changes which will impact all lines.

There will also be timetable changes on all lines throughout the closure.

Please consider your transport options and plan your journey as your best travel option may change over the 38-day period.

Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 December	All lines will be impacted by track closures between: Roma Street and Northgate/Ferny Grove Banoon and Yeerongpilly stations.
Monday 22 to Wednesday 24 December	All lines will be impacted by track closures between: Roma Street and Northgate/Ferny Grove stations. There will also be major timetable changes.
Thursday 25 to Sunday 28 December	All lines will be impacted by track closures Roma Street and Northgate/Ferny Grove stations.
Monday 29 to Wednesday 31 December	All lines will have major timetable changes. Additional services will run on New Year's Eve.
Thursday 1 January	No track closures. All lines will run to a public holiday timetable.
Friday 2 January	No track closures. All lines will run to a regular timetable.
Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 January	Beenleigh and Gold Coast will run as a combined service between Varsity Lakes and Banoon. No trains will run between Banoon and Yeerongpilly.
Monday 5 to Friday 9 January	Beenleigh and Gold Coast will run as a combined service between Varsity Lakes and Banoon. No trains will run between Banoon and Yeerongpilly. Doomben line trains will run between Doomben and Eagle Junction only.
Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 January	Beenleigh and Gold Coast will run as a combined service between Varsity Lakes and Banoon. No trains will run between Banoon and Yeerongpilly.
Monday 12 to Friday 16 January	Beenleigh and Gold Coast will run as a combined service between Varsity Lakes and Banoon. No trains will run between Banoon and Boggo Road. Doomben line trains will run between Doomben and Eagle Junction only.
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 January	Beenleigh and Gold Coast will run as a combined service between Varsity Lakes and Banoon. No trains will run between Banoon and Boggo Road.
Monday 19 to Friday 23 January	Beenleigh and Gold Coast will run as a combined service between Varsity Lakes and Banoon. No trains will run between Banoon and Boggo Road. Doomben line trains will run between Doomben and Eagle Junction only.
Saturday 24 to Monday 26 January	Beenleigh and Gold Coast will run as a combined service between Varsity Lakes and Banoon. No trains will run between Banoon and Boggo Road. Cleveland line trains will run between Manly station and the city. No trains will run between Cleveland and Manly stations.

What works are happening?

These Cross River Rail project works are essential to upgrade South East Queensland's rail network as it undergoes a once-in-a-generation transformation to support our growing population.

The scale and complexity of these works requires a longer closure period to keep workers safe and complete as much work as possible.
