From Saturday 20 December to Sunday 26 January, there’ll be major track closures and travel changes which will impact all lines.

There will also be timetable changes on all lines throughout the closure.

All lines will be impacted by track closures

All lines will have major timetable changes. 

Additional services will run on New Year's Eve.

Beenleigh and Gold Coast will run as a combined service between Varsity Lakes and Banoon.

  • No trains will run between Banoon and Yeerongpilly. 
Monday 5 to Friday 9 January

Beenleigh and Gold Coast will run as a combined service between Varsity Lakes and Banoon.

  • No trains will run between Banoon and Yeerongpilly. 

Doomben line trains will run between Doomben and Eagle Junction only. 

Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 January

Beenleigh and Gold Coast will run as a combined service between Varsity Lakes and Banoon.

  • No trains will run between Banoon and Yeerongpilly. 
Monday 12 to Friday 16 January

Beenleigh and Gold Coast will run as a combined service between Varsity Lakes and Banoon.

  • No trains will run between Banoon and Boggo Road. 

Doomben line trains will run between Doomben and Eagle Junction only.

Cleveland line trains will run between Manly station and the city. 

  • No trains will run between Cleveland and Manly stations. 

What works are happening?

These Cross River Rail project works are essential to upgrade South East Queensland's rail network as it undergoes a once-in-a-generation transformation to support our growing population. 

The scale and complexity of these works requires a longer closure period to keep workers safe and complete as much work as possible.
