Track closure in brief
- Start: First service Monday 5 January
- End: Last service Friday 9 January
- Affected lines: Beenleigh, Doomben and Gold Coast
- The Cleveland line will have minor timetable changes
- Next normal service: Beenleigh and Gold Coast lines will continue to be impacted by the December and January extended track closures.
During this closure we'll be running timetabled railbuses to replace trains to help you get where you need to be.
Railbuses are impacted by road and traffic conditions, so your journey may take longer.
Please consider your transport options, allow extra travel time and plan ahead to find your fastest travel option.

Bikes and e-scooters are not permitted on railbuses.

StationLink route 19 will also run every 15 minutes between Salisbury and PA Hospital stations.
Train line information
If your line is not listed below, it is not impacted by this weekday track closure.
Please plan your journey closer to the date of the closure.
Airport line trains will run between Domestic Airport and Cleveland line stations from first service until 7:30pm.
After 7:30pm, trains will run between Domestic Airport and Boggo Road/Yeerongpilly stations.
Beenleigh line trains:
- will run as a combined all-stop service with the Gold Coast line between Varsity Lakes and Banoon station.
- will not run between Banoon and Yeerongpilly station.
Timetable railbuses will run between Banoon, Yeerongpilly and Eagle Junction stations.
Affected stations:
- Banoon
- Coopers Plains
- Salisbury
- Rocklea
- Moorooka
- Yeerongpilly
Cleveland line trains will run between Cleveland and Domestic Airport stations from first service to 7:30pm.
During this time, Cleveland line trains travelling towards Cleveland will depart three minutes earlier than usual between the city and Boggo Road station.
After 7:30pm, trains will run between Cleveland and Sandgate stations.
Doomben line trains will run between Doomben and Eagle Junction stations.
Trains travelling towards:
- Eagle Junction will run two minutes earlier than usual
- Doomben will run two minutes later than usual.
Gold Coast line trains:
- will run as a combined all stop service with the Beenleigh line between Varsity Lakes and Banoon stations.
- will not run between Banoon and Yeerongpilly station.
Timetable railbuses will run between Banoon, Yeerongpilly and Eagle Junction stations.
Affected stations:
- Banoon
- Coopers Plains
- Salisbury
- Rocklea
- Moorooka
- Yeerongpilly
Shorncliffe line trains will run between Sandgate and Roma Street stations from first service until 7:30pm.
After 7:30pm, trains will run between Sandgate and Cleveland stations.
