While the start of the school year was delayed for many students, TransLink's new and existing school services ran as planned from January 24 to ensure students who need to attend school could safely do so.
TransLink worked with 11 South East Queensland (SEQ) school bus operators to deliver a number of improvements to school services from the first day of the school year, including new routes in Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich and Bribie Island.
Almost 30 million school trips are expected to be taken in SEQ throughout 2022.
