Another region is now live with Smart Ticketing! The launch of Smart Ticketing on Clarks Logan City Bus Services in February, and Logan Coaches in December 2024, means that customers can now use new contactless payment methods seamlessly across all trains and buses when travelling throughout the Logan region!
New payment methods include contactless Visa, Mastercard or American Express credit or debit cards, including cards stored in the digital wallet of smartphones, smart watches and other wearable devices.
Clarks Logan are the first operator to launch Smart Ticketing in 2025, marking 90 per cent completion of the South East Queensland bus rollout. The two remaining operators, Kinetic Gold Coast and Transport for Brisbane, are scheduled to be completed shortly. Customers are taking advantage of the new payment options with more than 25 million trips using Smart Ticketing across all modes, and more than 400,000 on buses alone since the first operator launched in August 2024.
Although customers no longer need a go card to travel throughout Logan, they will need to continue using their go card if they are transferring to one of the two bus operators not yet completed.
