Move Together is a behaviour and social change campaign that highlights the vital role we all play in making public transport an inclusive environment.

Our message is simple: move together, move better

Why it matters

Transport is a human right and a gateway to full participation in life. It connects people to social, educational, recreational, economic, and health products and services and should be inclusive and accessible for everyone. However, research shows the attitudes and behaviours of travellers on public transport can make it harder for others to travel with confidence and ease.

Our Move Together campaign was co-designed with people with lived experiences of disabilities. By sharing real stories, we challenge common assumptions and highlight the importance of being aware of your surroundings when travelling on public transport.

Simple ways to move together

It’s easy to make a difference. Here's how you can help create a more inclusive public transport experience:

  • Look up and be aware of your surroundings.
  • Offer help, it can change someone's day.
  • Limit the noise you make, especially in designated quiet spaces.
  • Offer your seat (if you're able to).
  • Don’t leave your bag where someone could trip over it.
  • Stand back so others can see which train or bus is approaching.
