Shorncliffe line track works planned for this weekend, Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May, have been cancelled.
Instead, trains will run on the Shorncliffe line as a shuttle service between Northgate and Sandgate stations, every 30 minutes.
Travel information
- If you're travelling into Brisbane City, you'll need to change trains at Northgate station.
- If you're travelling from Brisbane City towards Shorncliffe, catch any train that stops at Northgate and then transfer to the Shorncliffe line. Shorncliffe trains will not be departing from Brisbane City.
Railbuses
As the shuttle train will be running, the R348 railbuses between Shorncliffe and Northgate have been cancelled.
The Shorncliffe station renewal and upgrade railbus R346 will run as normal.
Timetables
Shuttle trains will run every 30 minutes across the weekend. Departing at the following times each hour:
- Sandgate - departing at 16 minutes and 46 minutes past the hour.
- Northgate - departing at 9 minutes and 39 minutes past the hour.
Saturday times
- Sandgate - 5:16am until 12:46am Sunday morning.
- Northgate - 5:09am until 1:09am Sunday morning.
Sunday times
- Sandgate - 6:16am until 11:46pm.
- Northgate - 5:39am until 11:09pm.

Sunday night track closure
Tracks will be closed on the inner city and inner north lines from 10pm until last service on Sunday 17 May.
To travel to stations between Northgate and Sandgate after 10pm, catch a railbus between Roma Street and Northgate stations.
Once at Northgate, transfer to the Shorncliffe line shuttle train - last shuttle departs at 11:09pm.
