Track closures in brief
During the closure dates below, the Shorncliffe line will be closed from Northgate to Sandgate stations for ETCS testing.
February weekend closure dates
- Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 February
- Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 February
- Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 February
- Saturday 28 February and Sunday 1 March

Travel information
During this closure we'll be running timetabled railbuses to replace trains to help you get where you need to be.
Timetabled railbuses will replace trains from Northgate to Shorncliffe stations during the track closure period.
If you're travelling towards the city, please catch a railbus to Northgate station and transfer to a train to continue your journey.
Please plan your journey closer to the time to find your fastest travel option. Bikes and e-scooters are not permitted on railbuses.
