From Saturday 27 June until Sunday 19 July, there will be major track closures and travel changes for works to improve your rail network. 

Some journeys may take significantly longer than usual. 

Please consider your travel options, plan ahead and allow extra travel time. 

Changes for each line will vary and your best travel option may change throughout June and July. See below for impacts.

Beenleigh and Gold Coast lines will run as combined services between Varsity Lakes and Banoon stations.

  • No trains will run between Banoon and Boggo Road stations.
Saturday 11 to Sunday 12 JulyBeenleigh and Gold Coast lines will run as combined services between Varsity Lakes and Banoon stations.
Monday 13 to Friday 17 July

Beenleigh and Gold Coast lines will run as combined services between Varsity Lakes and Banoon stations.

What works are happening?

These project works are essential to upgrade South East Queensland's rail network as it undergoes a once-in-a-generation transformation to support our growing population. 

The scale and complexity of these works requires a longer closure period to keep workers safe and complete as much work as possible.
