From 5:30pm on Saturday 6 September bus services across Brisbane City and surrounds will be disrupted due to Riverfire.

These changes will not be in journey planner, so please read the following information to avoid unnecessary delays. 

From 5:30pm until 11pm the following diversions will be in place due to road closures around the Victoria Bridge and North Quay area. 

From Cultural Centre

Buses coming from Cultural Centre towards the City, will enter the Queen Street bus tunnel after the Victoria Bridge and travel via the busway to Roma Street. 

Theses services will not service their normal stops along Adelaide Street, between George and Edward Streets. Instead, they will service the following stops, then normal route:

From Brisbane City

Buses from Adelaide Street heading across the Victoria Bridge, towards Cultural Centre, will detour along George Street to enter the busway at Roma Street then travel back through the tunnels over the Victoria Bridge. 

No stops will be missed, but travel time will increase for the busway detour. 

From 5:30pm until 11pm the the following stop will be closed:

Routes 301, 306, 309, 320 and 322 leaving the City will instead commence at:

This stop is an approximate 10 minute walk away. 

From 6:30pm until 8:30pm the Story Bridge will be closed for the fireworks. 

During this time, routes 227 and 232 will divert through Brisbane City and the busway at Woolloongabba, missing the following stops in Kangaroo Point:

Please note, this only affects the last scheduled 227 services of the day. 232's will resume once the bridge has reopened. 

Route 234 will not operate at all between 6:30pm and 8:30pm, but will resume afterwards.
