From Monday 20 October, Pimpama station will open with trains running to and from Brisbane City on the Gold Coast (Varsity Lakes) line every 15 minutes or better during peak times and 30 minutes off-peak.
Located along the Old Pacific Highway between Bedford Road and Mebbin Street, the new Pimpama station is easy to access by bus, car and active travel.
At the same time, there'll be changes for bus services in Pimpama, Coomera and Ormeau to connect you to the new station.
Bus service changes
To make it easy to get to the new station, we're updating bus routes and timetables to connect with train services.
- 720 – route extension to service Ormeau station
- 721 – route change to service Pimpama station instead of Ormeau station
- 722 – route change to end at Pimpama station instead of Ormeau station, plus a route change to travel through Pimpama via Dixon Drive and Cunningham Drive
- 724 – route change to service Pimpama station, with route to travel through Pimpama via Kerkin Road and William Boulevard
- 732 – route change to service Pimpama station
- 733 – route change to end trips at Pimpama station
We’ve partnered with City of Gold Coast to deliver these improvements for your growing communities in Coomera, Jacobs Well, Ormeau and Pimpama. These bus service upgrades are proudly funded by City of Gold Coast on a trial basis until June 2027.
Gold Coast line timetable changes
To accommodate the new station, there will be minor changes to the Gold Coast line timetable.
