Temporary route 237 removal - Morningside station reopening

On Tuesday 31 December Morningside station will reopen following a major accessibility upgrade. 

During the station upgrade temporary railbus route 237 has replaced train services between Morningside and Cannon Hill stations. 

Route 237 will be removed after the last scheduled service on Sunday 22 December.

Please re-plan your travel for Monday 23 December. 

Railbus R581 alternative (23-31 Dec)

From Monday 23 December until Tuesday 31 December a different railbus R581 will replace travel between Morningside and Cannon Hill stations. 

This railbus is running during the following holiday period track closures:

• Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 December - all lines affected
• Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 December - all lines affected
• Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 December - all lines affected
• Friday 27 December - all lines affected
• Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 December - all lines affected 
• Monday 30 December - Cleveland and Doomben lines affected

Departure stops will be different, so please check below to see where to catch R581 from. 

From Tuesday 31 December onwards, you will be able to catch the train from Morningside station.

Your new station will have upgraded platforms, a new footbridge and lifts; plus all new station office and ticketing facilities.
