From Monday 23 September, in partnership with the City of Gold Coast, we're delivering new and improved bus services in Coomera, Jacobs Well, Ormeau and Pimpama.

These improvements mark the start of the third and final stage of a five-year bus services and infrastructure improvements package, jointly funded by us and the City of Gold Coast.

You'll have access to two new bus routes:

  • 732 - Coomera station to Pimpama City
  • 733 - Ormeau to Jacobs Well via Pimpama City

These new buses will make it easier to travel locally or connect with other services at Coomera and Ormeau stations.

Importantly, with the introduction of route 733, the Jacobs Well community will have daily access to public transport for the first time.

All up, we're delivering 355 new trips each week across routes 732 and 733, as well as 36 new bus stops, ensuring you can get where you need to go.

The new bus routes are being introduced on a trial basis until June 2026. We'll monitor demand during this time to assess whether the trial is working or if the routes or timetables need to be adjusted.

We're also improving routes 722, 724, 728 and 729 in Coomera and Pimpama.

The changes will deliver better service frequency, more accurate and reliable timetables, and minor route changes to avoid congestion. The changes include:

Route 722 - Coomera to Ormeau via Coomera Rivers

  • minor route change to avoid congestion

Route 724 - Coomera station to Pimpama via Coomera

  • minor timetable change to make your journey more reliable

Route 728 - Beenleigh station to Ormeau station via Yatala and Jacobs Ridge

  • minor route change to better service both sides of the M1
  • better frequency with more trips across the week
  • route name change to 'Beenleigh station to Ormeau station via Ormeau and Yatala'

These improvements give you an additional 174 trips each week across routes 728 and 729, providing improved service coverage for Pimpama and Coomera.

The Jacobs Well Shoppers Run bus service, travelling between Jacobs Well and Beenleigh Marketplace, will no longer operate after Thursday 26 September 2024.

But don't worry - you'll still have access to public transport, with the introduction of your new Translink service, route 733.

Route 733 will deliver a much-improved public transport service, running to an hourly timetable, seven days a week (instead of just an inbound/outbound trip on Thursdays).
