Face masks mandatory in South East Queensland

Face masks are mandatory when travelling on public transport, as per the Queensland Health directive, throughout the following areas:

  • Brisbane
  • Ipswich
  • Logan
  • Moreton Bay
  • Redlands
  • Sunshine Coast
  • Noosa
  • Somerset
  • Lockyer Valley
  • Scenic Rim
  • Gold Coast.

School students 

Children 12 years and older need to wear a face mask on all other public transport services in the South East Queensland areas, including dedicated school bus services.

When travelling on public transport, please remember to play your part and follow these steps:

  • wear a mask
  • leave a gap between you and others
  • follow our COVID-safe plan.
