On Monday 18 September, Yeerongpilly station closed for important Cross River rail upgrade works. The station is planned to reopen in late-2024.

During the station closure, trains will run express through Yeerongpilly station in both directions.

The pedestrian overpass over Fairfield Road will remain open during the station closure with temporary closures of either the lifts or stairs to enable construction of the new station entries. These works will be staged to ensure access to either the lift or stairs will be available.

The park 'n' ride on Wilkie Street will also be closed throughout construction.
