From Saturday 19 October, part of the Springfield Central station park 'n' ride will be closed due to the construction of 'The Reserve' stadium.

To reduce the impact on park 'n' ride customers the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is building a temporary carpark on the corner of Eden Station Drive and Springfield Greenbank Arterial, about 500 metres from the station.

The temporary carpark will be open from Monday 21 October and will operate until the opening of the new multi-storey carpark.

There are currently no changes to services associated with the temporary park 'n' ride project.

Springfield Central station (SCPNR) multi-storey park 'n' ride project

The Queensland Government has committed $44.5 million to design and build a multi-storey carpark at Springfield Central station park 'n' ride (SCPNR).

The current SCPNR upgrade project will almost double capacity, delivering a total of around 1,100 car parking spaces.

Design activities to finalise the project's scope began in early 2019. It is not currently known when the multi-storey park 'n' ride will be open. The design process will inform construction timeframes.
