From 10pm until last service on the following dates the Eleanor Schonell Bridge will be closed for maintenance works:
- Sunday 27 September to Thursday 1 October
- Sunday 4 October to Thursday 8 October
- Sunday 11 October to Thursday 15 October.
During these times UQ Lakes station and Dutton Park Place bus stops will be closed. Route M2 and 179 will use the following alternative stops, shown below.
Services may experience minor delays from 9pm before full closures commencing at 10pm each night.

- Boggo Road station, platform 4, Dutton Park (Stop ID 010795) - first stop for route M2 and 179
- Lower Level at PA Hospital station, Woolloongabba (Stop ID 060065) - last stop for route 179
