Ferry disruptions - industrial action

A 2-hour work stoppage will occur between 8am and 10am on Friday 7 August, during which no Brisbane River ferry services will operate.

Services will progressively resume from 10am, but changes can occur at short notice, so please keep up to date by checking this page. Please consider making alternative travel arrangements. 

Buses and trams will continue to run as normal, with trains running on a reduced timetable. 

Southern Moreton Bay Island (SMBI) and Coochiemudlo ferry services are not affected. 

The following trips are the last unaffected before the protected industrial action work stoppage. 

Other trips departing after these times will operate up until 8am and dock at their nearest ferry terminal.

Route F1 - Northshore Hamilton / UQ St Lucia

  • From Northshore Hamilton: 6:30am (to UQ), 6:45am (to North Quay), 7am (to South Bank), 7:15am (to Riverside)
  • From UQ St Lucia: 6:30am (to Northshore Hamilton)

Route F11 - Apollo Road to Riverside

  • 7:16am 

Route F12 - West End to Gardens Point 

  •  7:20am

Route F21 - Bulimba / Teneriffe

  • From Bulimba: 7:47am
  • From Teneriffe: 7:52am

Route F22 - Sydney Street / Dockside

  • From Sydney Street: 7:43am
  • From Dockside: 7:53am

Route F23 - Holman Street / Riverside

  • From Holman Street: 7:45am
  • From Riverside: 7:50am

Route F24 - Maritime Museum / QUT Gardens Point

  • From Maritime Museum: 7:44am
  • From QUT Gardens Point: 7:50am

Please be aware these services may be more crowded than than usual. Please follow instructions from ferry staff when boarding.
