From Monday 27 July, Shorncliffe station will reopen after undergoing major renewal and accessibility upgrades.
Once open, Shorncliffe line trains will run between Brisbane City and Shorncliffe station.
Due to a Shorncliffe line track closure, route R348 will service Shorncliffe station on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July, with the last R346 Sandgate to Shorncliffe station service on Friday 24 July.
Key renewal and upgrade features
- High-level platform raised to accessible boarding point
- Upgraded hearing augmentation loops and tactile ground surface indicators
- Upgraded security cameras and lighting
- Essential station facilities, including accessible toilets
- New wayfinding and platform signage
- Restoration of the old station building and existing awning
- Two new platform seats
