On Monday 18 May, Hope Island station will open with train services to Brisbane City and the Gold Coast, giving you more convenient travel options every day. 

Located next to Mangrove Jack Park off Hope Island Road, the new station is modern and fully accessible.

At the same time as the station opening, there will also be changes to local bus services in Hope Island and minor timetable changes across Gold Coast bus and train services.

Hope Island bus changes

Local bus routes are changing to help connect you to the new station:

  • 709 - a new route running from Helensvale to Sickle Avenue via Hope Island station
  • 711 - will be extended to travel from Southport to Hope Island station via Runaway Bay and Paradise Point
  • 725 - will change to travel from Coomera to Sanctuary Cove via Hope Island station.

Routes 718 and 727 will also change to improve access to public transport in Hope Island: 

  • 718 - will change to travel from Santa Barbara to Helensvale via Cova Boulevard and Marina Quays Boulevard
  • 727 - will change to travel along Lauren Grove and Reserve Road servicing Seachange Lifestyle Resort, Palm Lake Resort and the Regis Magnolia communities.

Gold Coast bus and train timetable changes

To support the introduction of the new station, there'll be minor changes to Gold Coast bus and Gold Coast line train timetables.

Please check your timetable or plan your journey closer to the time to make sure you're catching the best possible service.
