South East Queensland

From Monday 20 October, the following bus routes will be changed to integrate with the new Pimpama Station:

  • Routes 721, 722, 724, 732, and 733 will be realigned to stop at Pimpama Station.
  • The alignments of routes 722 and 724 will be adjusted through a section of Pimpama to provide a better service to Pimpama State Primary and State Secondary Colleges.

The bus route and timetable changes to provide services to Pimpama Station form part of the final stage of the $16.4 million Northern Gold Coast Bus Improvement Package, a joint initiative between the Queensland Government and the City of Gold Coast.

Additionally, route 720 will be extended to Ormeau Station to maintain connectivity to this station.

The opening of the new Pimpama Station will result in timetable changes to rail services at all stations on the Gold Coast rail line, meaning timetables for 26 bus routes require changes to align with the new train schedule.

Across the wider bus network on the Gold Coast, timetable updates are being implemented on an additional four routes to improve reliability to accommodate increasing traffic congestion, with route 759 to terminate at Varsity Lakes station to improve operational efficiency.

With bus changes across the wider Gold Coast network, we encourage customers to check the latest timetable before travelling.
