A new On Demand Transport (ODT) service has started today in Yarrabilba, offering a flexible, shared and pre-booked travel option for passengers.
The service will connect residents with key local destinations, including the Yarrabilba Drive shopping precinct, The Buzz community hub and the Dixon Circuit Retail Precinct, as well as Route 587.
On Demand Transport will operate within the Yarrabilba Priority Development Area on weekdays from 5am to 10pm, Saturdays from 6am to 10pm, and Sundays and public holidays from 7am to 9pm.
The service is expected to benefit more than 15,000 Yarrabilba residents by improving accessibility, connectivity and overall convenience.
Fares will be covered under the Queensland Government’s permanent 50 cent fares initiative.
Customers can tap on and off using a Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card, including via a smartphone or smart device, or use a go card.
Yarrabilba becomes the latest community to benefit from ODT services, joining Hervey Bay, Gold Coast, Logan, Tamborine Mountain, Ipswich and Toowoomba.
Customers can pre-book the new permanent service by visiting the Translink website, using the Translink On Demand app, or calling 13 12 30.
This service is being delivered by CavBus trading as Logan Coaches.
