go card is TransLink's electronic ticket. It allows you to travel seamlessly on all TransLink bus, train and ferry services and entitles you to travel savings and discounts.

You can travel seamlessly with a go card

on all TransLink bus, train and ferry services.

TransLink has a go card that's right for you.

It's blue for adults 15 years and over.

Children between 5 and 14 years have orange cards

and concession prices apply.

Concession go cards are green.

They are available to full time secondary

and tertiary students over 15,

pensioners and some defence force veterans.

Senior go card are maroon, and for people

who hold a current Seniors Card

issued by any Australian state or territory.

For pensioners and seniors

After two journeys are made in one day,

all additional journeys are free.

Fares using a go card are at least

30% cheaper than a single paper ticket!

Make 10 journeys then travel free

for all travel over 10 journeys in a Monday to Sunday

Also save 20% on your fare when you travel during off-peak times.

To top up your go card at a fare machine,

press add value.

Touch your go card to the yellow target.

Select how much you would like to top up.

Pay by cash, or EFTPOS.

Credit card facilities are available in some locations.

to confirm the transaction.

All fare machines at busways

and busway interchanges take credit cards.

You can also top up at any go card retailer,

just look for the top up icon.

Auto top-up is free and easy to set up.

When your card balance falls below $5,

it will automatically be topped up

with the amount you choose.

Log into your go card account online

and choose the top up amount you wish to be charged,

to your Visa or MasterCard.

Travelling by train?

Touch your go card to the card reader on the platform.

Touch off when you get off the train and have finished your journey.

Some train stations have fare gates.

Touch your card on or off and follow the green arrows to see which gates will open.

On the buses, enter at the front and touch on at the card reader near the driver.

To exit, you can touch off your card at either the front or the back of the bus.

River journey?

Have your go card ready to touch on as you board a ferry or CityCat.

Touch off as you leave the ferry.

When transferring between bus, train or ferry, touch on and off each trip,

except if you're changing trains at the same station.

You have up to an hour to continue your journey

and you must start your final transfer within three and a half hours of your first touch on.

You have five hours to complete your journey.

Check your card balance at any fare machine.

To see the balance and the last ten transactions,

press check balance on the screen,

then touch your card to the yellow target.

Finished? Press cancel.

Registering your go card

protects the money on your card

from the time you report it lost or stolen.

Lost your registered card?

Phone TransLink immediately on 13 12 30.

Your card will be blocked, so no-one else can use it.

Unregistered cards can't be blocked,

so you will need to buy a new card.
