Exhibition station will be open all through this year's show.
The Ekka Loop service runs from Roma Street to Central and Fortitude Valley before arriving at the Ekka. Trains then leave Exhibition station and return to Roma Street to start the loop again.
To the Ekka - Roma Street to Exhibition
- 8.45am to 3.30pm - every 15 minutes
- 3.30pm to 6.30pm - every 30 minutes
- 6.30pm to 8pm - every 15 minutes
From the Ekka - Exhibition to Roma Street
- 9am to 3.30pm - every 15 minutes
- 3.30pm to 6.30pm - every 30 minutes
- 6.30pm to 11pm - every 15 minutes
To get there, catch any city-bound train and swap to an Ekka loop train at either Roma Street, Central or Fortitude Valley stations.

Getting to Ekka is easy with go card, simply tap on and off when travelling.
Avoid the queues and set up auto top-up before heading to the show.
Ekka Travel Ticket
Save money with the Ekka Travel Ticket, its just $6 adult and $3 concession return from anywhere on the TransLink SEQ network (excluding Airtrain).
To purchase, show your Ekka Entry Ticket to a staff member at attended Queensland Rail stations from Tuesday 2 August.
If you are wishing to purchase a concession travel ticket, you show a valid concession card (excluding children 5-14 years of age) when purchasing.

Public holiday service levels
There are two show day holidays during this year's Ekka; Monday 8 August for non-Brisbane City Council regions, and Wednesday 10 August for the Brisbane City Council region.
Service notices
Please note, these are not gazetted public holidays (like ANZAC Day, Good Friday), which means services may run to a weekend, public holiday or special timetable.
Make sure to use the journey planner if you are travelling during this time.
Late night track works
During this year's show there will be some late night closures on the Beenleigh and Gold Coast lines between Roma Street and Moorooka stations. These works are part of the Cross River Rail project.
Tracks will be closed from 9.30pm until last service on Monday 8, Tuesday 9, Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11 August.
