Heading to Schoolies this year? We've got your transport sorted with cheap fares, late-night trams and connections to all the best venues.
Concession fares during Schoolies (Queensland students only)
To travel on concession fares during Schoolies you will need a concession go card. If you don't already own a go card, you can purchase a new card from a selected retailer and present your Queensland Student ID to receive concession fares.
Once you have money on your go card, you can catch any bus, tram, ferry or train on the TransLink network. That includes all public transport in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and more!
To use your card, simply:
- touch on a go card reader at the start of your journey
- touch off a go card reader at the end of your journey.
go card readers are located either on your bus or at the tram/train station.
From Saturday 16 November to Saturday 23 November, Schoolies wristbands will count as proof of concession for all Queensland school leavers.
This means you won't have to carry your Student ID while travelling between these dates!
If you aren't a Queensland student, unfortunately you are not eligible for concession fares in Queensland.
You will need to purchase a blue adult go card, an adult go explore card or buy paper tickets when travelling.
