Heading to Schoolies this year? We've got your transport sorted with cheap fares, late-night trams and connections to all the best venues.
Concession fares during Schoolies (Queensland students only)
To travel on concession fares during Schoolies you will need a concession go card. If you don't already own a go card, you can purchase a new card from a selected retailer by bringing your QLD Student ID and at least $10. School leavers can also purchase concession tickets on-board buses and at tram/train stations.
Once you have money on your go card, you can catch any bus, tram, ferry or train on the TransLink network. That includes all public transport in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and more!
To use your card, simply:
- touch on a go card reader at the start of your journey.
- touch off a go card reader at the end of your journey.
go card readers are located either on your bus or at the tram/train station.
If there is a device error and you receive a fixed fare, please call 13 12 30 and apply for a refund.
From Saturday 17 November to Saturday 24 November, Schoolies wristbands will count as proof of concession for all QLD school leavers. This means you won't have to carry Student ID while travelling between these dates!
If you aren't a Queensland student, you will need to purchase a blue adult go card, or buy adult paper tickets.
Normal TransLink fares and conditions apply.
