Listen to Head of TransLink Matt Longland on ABC radio from 19 February 2021 with Mornings host Rebecca Levingston, discussing changes to the public transport network as the Cross River Rail project progresses.

Train station closures

From late April 2021, Yeronga train station will close for about six months as part of important Cross River Rail construction works.

This is the first in a series of rolling station closures between Fairfield and Salisbury stations.

StationLink service

To help customers impacted by the upcoming closure and Cross River Rail works, we're introducing a new, temporary route 109 service – StationLink.

StationLink will service stops close to Moorooka, Yeerongpilly, Yeronga, Fairfield and Dutton Park train stations, before terminating at Boggo Road busway station.

StationLink will run at a similar frequency to the Beenleigh line trains.

Boggo Road busway station has connections to other high frequency buses to the city or UQ, as well as being a short walk from Park Road train station for connecting trains to the Gold Coast and Cleveland lines, or for travel to the city.
