Getting around South East Queensland and Cairns is easy using public transport.

We operate buses, trains, ferries and trams in seven regions - from Gympie on the Sunshine Coast to Coolangatta on the Gold Coast and west to Helidon near Ipswich.

Tickets and fares

TransLink’s 3 and 5 day seeQ card’s are the easiest way to discover South East Queensland. Once activated, these pre-paid cards give you unlimited travel on our bus, train, ferry and tram services. Airport transfers on the Airtrain service are also included.

If you’re visiting the Gold Coast, the Gold Coast go explore card offers unlimited one day travel for bus and tram.  One day not enough? Simply reload the card for additional days of discovery. 

Paper tickets are the best option when visiting Cairns. You can purchase your ticket from the bus driver when boarding.

Some visitors may be eligible for a cheaper concession fare. Read more about concessions.
