About trains

There are 10 train lines and 139 stations in the TransLink network. Approximately 170,000 trips are taken daily on trains. Airtrain is the service which links the Brisbane Airport with Brisbane City and the Gold Coast.

Rail infrastructure projects

TransLink works with Queensland Rail and the Department of Transport and Main Roads on rail infrastructure projects, including new stations, improving and upgrading existing station facilities and extending and duplicating rail lines. We also work with other government departments on the Cross River Rail and Gold Coast Rapid Transit projects.
