Buses will replace trains between Corinda and Rosewood stations this weekend.

TransLink spokesperson Gemma Rivers said sections of the Ipswich/Rosewood line and the entire Richlands line would be closed from about 10.30pm on Friday 27 July until the last scheduled service on Sunday 29 July.

"Buses will carry passengers between Corinda and Rosewood stations on the Ipswich/Rosewood line and between Darra and Richlands on the Richlands line," Ms Rivers said.

"Trains will still run between Corinda and Brisbane City, stopping all stations."

Works being undertaken this weekend include:

  • track works at Redbank, Dinmore, Wulkuraka, Karrabin and Walloon
  • signalling works at Bundamba
  • overhead power line works at Darra
  • resurfacing and asphalting works at Oxley
  • general maintenance throughout the corridor.

Customers requiring assistance should phone 3606 5555 or SMS 0428 774 636.

Normal train timetables will resume from first services on Monday 30 July.

People travelling this weekend to Brisbane are Delectable Festival, or to see the Gold Coast Suns play the Sydney Swans at Metricon Stadium on Saturday 28 July, should plan their journey with this closure in mind.

TransLink and Queensland Rail are working together to improve the train network to provide a better experience for our customers.

We appreciate customers' patience as upgrade and maintenance works continue across the network.
